Depending on your specific needs, a pick-up can be modified to simply pick up a wheelchair or scooter or be converted into a transfer-in and drive-accessible vehicle. Combine any of the following products to create the truck that’s just right for you.

BRAUNABILITY TURNY EVO AUTOMOTIVE SEATING and the Adapt-Solutions LINK SEAT systems are specifically designed for pick-up trucks and allow you to transfer from your wheelchair (with or without assistance) into the driver or passenger seat. The Turning seat will then power you up and into the seated position, ready to drive or ride. The Turning does not require modification to the basic vehicle, meaning that the installation does not affect your truck’s resale value. Be sure to contact us about specific vehicle applications and options.

The BRUNO OUTRIDER is the ideal complement to the Turning seat. This lift is designed to load and unload your scooter or wheelchair (up to 350 lbs) from the bed of your pick-up truck. Fully motorized, the lift does all the work. You use the handheld control to maneuver your mobility device into the bed next to the driver’s position.

Pickup trucks, vans, sedans, and wagons are all candidates for installation of an exterior lift. If your mobility device does not fit inside the vehicle, or you want to leave interior space available for other stuff, installing an ‘outside lift’ is an option. The ‘outside lifts’ are available in many configurations depending on the vehicle and the mobility device.

The BRUNO OUTSIDER is an automatic outside lift that can lift and lock a fully assembled power wheelchair or scooter onto your vehicle in a matter of moments. It is fully powered, with no lifting or straining. Other OUTSIDER variations include lifts for folded wheelchairs which are more compact and weigh less. We also offer the HARMAR line of exterior lifts, which can lift wheelchairs weighing up to 400 lbs!

Sometimes it is necessary to load a scooter or wheelchair into a vehicle using an exterior hoist that removes from the trailer hitch after use. This sometimes works well when loading a small scooter into a hatchback vehicle with limited space.

From simple items such as a right-hand turn signal lever to high-tech touchpad controls and infrared or UHF steering knob systems, Courtland Mobility Services offers every option available for controlling items such as wipers, horns, and lights. We even have products to shift the gear of an automatic transmission electronically or apply the emergency brake at the touch of a button.

The motorized transfer seat is a simple yet effective means of dealing with vehicles where height is a barrier to a safe and easy transfer into and out of your vehicle. Ideally suited to minivans, some sport utility vehicles, and pickup trucks, the transfer seat is a small seat or ‘perch’ which, once you transfer onto it, will lift you up to seat height allowing access to the driver or passenger seat. The Adapt-Solutions XL SEAT is the industry standard for this application.

These driving systems are designed to individual needs and can include such items as electric shifters and keypad integration to electric gas and brake, voice activation, powered headrest and joystick steering.

Turning seating is a popular and easy way to make a wide variety of vehicles accessible to those who can transfer to and from their wheelchair or for those who have trouble stepping up into and out of taller vehicles. The turning seat rotates, moves outside the vehicle, and down to the most comfortable position to exit and enter the seat. The system is fully powered and includes a backup system in case of power failure. Products we service and sell include the BraunAbility Turny EVO and the Adapt-Solutions LINK seat.

Two types of wheelchair lifts can be installed into your vehicle, depending on your specific needs.

The first type is a lift that hoists your wheelchair or scooter into a car, truck, minivan, or SUV. These lifts are designed to lift only your mobility device, scooter, or wheelchair into and out of your vehicle. Numerous products are available to perform this task, from loading a folding wheelchair into a sedan to loading a power wheelchair fully assembled into a minivan or SUV.
